HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- IDERA, a leading provider of database lifecycle management solutions, today released the latest version of SQL Compliance Manager. With this update, customers can now easily and quickly identify sensitive data that needs to be audited by using the integrated column search functionality.

SQL Compliance Manager is a comprehensive auditing solution that uses policy-based algorithms to track changes to SQL Server objects and data. This release furthers IDERA’s strength in the market by adding sensitive data functionality that allows users to find hidden data in their database tables so they can provide adequate audits, keeping their clients or customers safe and their databases compliant.

The new SQL Compliance Manager functionality allows customers to easily and quickly identify sensitive data that needs to be audited through user-selectable, pre-populated fields along with custom defined search strings. The product scans columns using preset wildcard search criteria to identify commonly used patterns for sensitive data columns, such as credit card and Social Security numbers. This search criteria can also be customized for organization-specific sensitive data.

This release of SQL Compliance Manager additionally gives users the option to choose between Extended Events (XEvents) and SQL Trace technology to perform audits with the latest versions of SQL Server. Customers can also take advantage of an enhanced IDERA Web Dashboard experience, now with one-click import and export of audit settings. This makes compliance verification painless. SQL Compliance Manager is the fifth IDERA SQL tool to be integrated into the IDERA Dashboard, giving users the ability to extend real-time views to key stakeholders across their organizations.
