Holdsworth joins Farm Credit East to help Aroostook County farmers manage risk
St. John Valley Times (Madawaska, ME)
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Farm Credit East and Crop Growers, the financial cooperative's crop insurance provider, is pleased to announce that Branden Holdsworth of Caribou has joined the Crop Growers team as a crop insurance agent serving Aroostook County.
Raised in Aroostook County, Holdsworth has been involved in Maine's farming industry his whole life. From growing up on a family farm, to working for one of the largest potato producers in the area, Holdsworth has seen and experienced many changes in the potato industry.
"There are various crop insurance options available to potato growers," he said. "I look forward to working with Aroostook County producers to develop risk management plans to help them manage the many, often unpredictable, factors facing their operations."
"Crop Growers is excited to have Branden join the team," said Jeremy Forrett, Crop Growers leader. "He brings a wealth of knowledge of the potato industry and markets to help Aroostook County farmers protect their investment."
Holdsworth joined the Crop Growers team earlier this year. To discuss risk management options for your operation, contact him at 207-764-5510 or [email protected].
