Hiscox appoints Ryan Barker as Chief Technology Officer for Hiscox Re & ILS

Hamilton, Bermuda (30 August 2023) - Hiscox Re & ILS, the reinsurance and insurance linked securities arm of specialist global insurer Hiscox, has appointed Ryan Barker as its new Chief Technology Officer.

Ryan will join on 2 October and will be responsible for driving all aspects of the business' technology strategy. Based in London, he will become a member of the Hiscox Re & ILS leadership team and will report to Kathleen Reardon, CEO of Hiscox Re & ILS.

Ryan joins from the Reinsurance Group of America, where as Head of Information Technology for EMEA he has delivered significant technology change programmes over several years. Ryan brings nearly 20 years of information technology experience to the role.
