CELINA — Clay Heitkamp, marketing representative at Celina Insurance Group, recently earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
The CPCU designation is a widely respected and distinguished credential in risk management and insurance. The Institutes, an organization dedicated to providing accreditation and professional development opportunities in the insurance field, administers the required exams.
Heitkamp successfully completed several CPCU courses on topics that included risk management, insurance operations and liability and insurance law. He has been with Celina for eight years and also holds Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU) and Agribusiness Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) designations.
“I’m focused on helping our agency partners reach their goals. The knowledge I gained from my CPCU studies will enable me to better assist agencies with both risk selection and pricing,” Heitkamp said. “The designation also brings an added layer of credibility and professionalism to my role.”
“Clay is a talented insurance professional, and he’s always looking for ways to sharpen his skills,” Steve Entenmann, director of Marketing and Sales, said. “This accomplishment is a testament to his commitment to Celina’s emphasis on continuing education and the value he wants to bring to our agency partners.”
Celina Insurance Group is comprised of four mutual property and casualty insurance companies. The companies provide protection for autos, homes, businesses and farms through more than 500 independent agencies in five states. Founded in 1914 with headquarters in Celina, Ohio, the organization is committed to supporting its policyholders and communities.
