Heffernan Foundation Benefit ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ Raises Over $1.6 Million

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Investment Weekly News -- Heffernan Foundation, the charitable giving program for Heffernan Insurance Brokers, held a charity event Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, Calif., which raised over $1,600,000. All proceeds benefit the Heffernan Foundation and the following four beneficiates: At the Crossroads, California Human Development, Cristo Rey De La Salle East Bay and Santa Clara University. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the founding of Heffernan Insurance Brokers in 1988, the 'Diamonds Are Forever' themed evening included cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, casino games, a live auction and raffle, as well as music from Lucky Devils Band.
Sponsorship funds were raised in advance of the event from over 100 vendors, clients, and business partners, including several international and national brokers and insurance carriers. Heffernan Insurance Brokers was the largest sponsor of the event, contributing $500,000. In addition, $50k sponsor Lenore Heffernan donated in honor of her late husband, Frank Heffernan.
