Hartville Pet Insurance rebrands as Crum & Forster
Akron Beacon Journal (OH)
May 09--Hartville Pet Insurance Group in Akron has been rebranded as Crum & Forster Pet Insurance Group.
The rebranding is the culmination of a decades-long relationship between Hartville and Crum & Forster, the companies announced Tuesday. Hartville is Crum & Forster's pet insurance division.
United States Fire Insurance Co., a Crum & Forster subsidiary, has been underwriting Hartville's insurance products since 2006 and acquired Hartville in 2013.
The Akron specialty insurer is staying put, with no changes to the staff or leadership team headed since 2005 by Senior Vice President Dennis Rushovich.
The insurance company in 2015 moved its more than 100 employees from Canton to a building near Akron Fulton International Airport in Akron.
"This realignment puts us in a great spot within the larger enterprise structure of Crum & Forster, providing increased visibility and growth opportunities among large commercial clients, partners and brokers," Rushovich said in a news release.
Crum & Forster Pet Insurance Group will continue providing ASPCA Pet Health Insurance and Hartville Pet Insurance.
Hartville, founded in 1997, said it has insured more than 400,000 dogs and cats over the past 20 years.
Crum & Forster was founded in 1822. The company provides specialty and standard commercial lines of insurance.
