Harris Joins Ford School of Public Policy Colleagues on Biden-Harris Transition

ANN ARBOR, Michigan, Nov. 21 -- The Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy issued the following news:

Ford School professor of practice and Towsley Foundation Policymaker in Residence Adrienne Harris has been named to a Biden-Harris transition Agency Review Team, focusing on the Federal Reserve, Banking and Securities Regulators group includes the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Reserve, the National Credit Union Administration, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

She joins other Ford School faculty named to transition teams - Dean Michael Barr and economics professor Betsey Stevenson. Harris is also a Gates Foundation Senior Research Fellow with the Center for Finance, Law and Policy.

Harris was a Special Assistant to President Obama for Economic Policy at the National Economic Council, where her portfolio included financial reform, financial technology, cyber security, consumer protection, and housing finance reform.

She spearheaded the development of the Administration's fintech strategy, chairing both the Interagency Fintech Working Group and the Administration's Distributed Ledger Technology Task Force.
