WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) _ The Hanover Insurance Group Inc. (THG) on Wednesday reported second-quarter earnings of $78.4 million.
The Worcester, Massachusetts-based company said it had profit of $1.83 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $1.69 per share.
The insurance company posted revenue of $1.27 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $1.26 billion.
Hanover Insurance shares have risen 5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $95.78, a rise of 18 percent in the last 12 months.
