Guardian by Dome, a Groundbreaking Water Leak Prevention System, to Launch at CES 2017

PR Web

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) December 16, 2016

More than 14,000 water damage claims are filed every day, costing insurance companies over $5 billion annually. Guardian by Dome aims to change that. Dome Home Automation will unveil the game-changing smart water damage prevention system at CES 2017, the biggest consumer electronics show worldwide.

The first ever water damage prevention solution aimed at homeowners, Guardian by Dome is the only product on the market that not only notifies about water leaks and potentially flooding, but actively works to stop them. If a serious leak is detected within your home, Guardian will actually shut off your water main. The system installs without tools in less than five minutes, and it does not require a smart hub to operate!

"What Nest did for climate control, Guardian will do for water damage prevention. This standalone system not only provides convenience but also peace of mind for a very real and often financially devastating problem: water damage," said Matthew Cwiokowski, Director of Home Automation at Elexa Consumer Products.

Guardian includes three main components:

  • Smart Water Valve Controller: The controller installs on an existing water main with no plumber or tools required. It has an optional battery backup to ensure your home is protected even without power.
  • Water Detector: The sensors connect to the Valve right out of the box automatically with no configuration required, can be placed virtually anywhere across hundreds of feet, and have an unprecedented 10-year battery life.
  • Smart Siren: The siren notifies users of detected water leaks via beeps or verbal warnings – perfect for homeowners or apartment residents without access to a water main shut-off valve.

Press members are invited to schedule an exclusive product demonstration at the Dome Home Automation suite in the Bellagio Hotel. Private car service will be provided to and from the expo center. Press can contact skraszewski(at)elexausa(dot)com to secure an appointment or request additional information.

"Our goal with Dome has always been to continuously seek out better ways to create smart home devices. I strongly believe that what we're unveiling at CES will shape the future of home automation in many ways," said Larry Beger, CEO at Elexa Consumer Products. "We're eager to share our latest groundbreaking IoT devices, and we can't think of a better time and place than at CES."

In addition to Guardian, Dome's existing collection of Z-Wave products is expanding to offer even more devices. At CES, event attendees will get an exclusive first look at their Z-Wave Extender/Night Light.

Dome's new product lineup will be on display in booth 20900 at the Z-Wave Pavilion, hosted by the Z-Wave Alliance, as well as The Z-Wave Experience Smart House, located at Sands Expo, booth 41241.
