Greenberg Traurig's Linda B. Hirschson & Rose Cordero Prey Selected to Crain's 2020 Notable Women in Law

Linda B. Hirschson and Rose Cordero Prey, shareholders in the New York office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, have been recognized as Crain's New York 2020 "Notable Women in Law." According to Crain's website, the list recognizes the brightest and boldest legal minds with notable careers and extraordinary civic and philanthropic activities who have impacted New York City in major ways. Hirschson chairs the New York Estate Planning Group, and Prey is a shareholder in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice.

Hirschson focuses her practice on virtually all aspects of estate planning and administration and is a past member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel (ACTEC). Hirschson develops estate plans for high net worth individuals, enabling them to dispose of their assets during life and at death in a manner that meets their personal goals as tax efficiently as possible. In the course of doing so, she helps form and administer private foundations and charitable trusts. She has authored numerous articles and lectured frequently on estate planning, income taxation, and a range of other related topics.

Prey counsels clients on patent litigation, licensing, and due diligence in the mechanical, electrical, computer science, and life science industries. With more than 10 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, she has represented clients in cases involving a wide array of technologies before federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, and before the International Trade Commission.

Prey handles post-grant proceedings in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, advises clients regarding invention protection and portfolio development, and performs IP due diligence related to mergers, acquisitions, and private equity investments. Prey's commitment to pro bono is shown through her work with the Safe Passage Project, Volunteers of Legal Services (VOLS), and The Legal Aid Society. Prey is also a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and the UNC Law Alumni Board.
