Great American Insurance Group’s Accident & Health Division Launches Second Product for Youth Athletes

Business Wire

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Great American Insurance Group’s Accident & Health (A&H) Division, known as pomi®, is pleased to announce a new product offering.

This press release features multimedia. View the full release here: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20240709963867/en/

Pomi, an acronym for peace of mind insurance, offers coverage options for young athletes and their families. Pomi’s new product is Season Saver, which can help families recoup the cost of unused team registration fees.

“Many parents want their kids to participate in youth sports, but the reality is, the team fees can be expensive, and many teams don’t have refund policies,” said Jim Slate, Divisional President, Great American Accident & Health. “What if a child suffers an injury or becomes ill and can’t play? Parents shouldn’t have to lose unused registration fees. Now, with Season Saver, we can help them recoup some of the cost.”

Season Saver can refund up to 100% of the unused portion of the team registration fees, making it a competitive option to help combat the cost of travel and competitive sports. Prices are as low as $10* and can cover athletes up to age 26.

In addition to Season Saver, pomi also offers Player Protect – a sports accident insurance policy that helps pay for medical and dental expenses in the event of a sports injury. Both products can be purchased online in under three minutes. “We want parents to have options and to understand there is a way to help protect their sports expenses. Having the proper financial protection in place and playing it safe is what truly matters,” Slate added.

* Pricing varies and is based on sport, length of participation, age, gender, and state of residence.
