Grants will allow more health insurance help for Northland
Duluth News-Tribune (MN)
Aug. 5--Navigators will be able to help Northland residents walk through their health insurance options thanks to a grant for this year's insurance season.
Generations Health Care Initiatives of Duluth announced last week that it received the $234,749 grant from MNsure, the state's marketplace for health insurance.
Another grant went to Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency.
All told, MNsure awarded $4.2 million to 43 organizations statewide, the agency announced.
Generations, the lead agency for the Insure Duluth Coalition, has been a grant recipient for seven years, according to a Generations news release. The coalition's navigators have assisted more than 15,000 people in applying for health coverage through MNsure.
