GetInsured’s New Decision Support Technology Launches in Minnesota to Help Consumers Find Better Health Insurance During This Year’s Open Enrollment
Managed Care Weekly Digest
By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Managed Care Weekly Digest -- Minnesota's health insurance exchange, known as MNsure, launched new decision support tools from GetInsured, a health insurance and e-commerce technology company, to help Minnesotans find better health insurance that matches both their budget and their individual healthcare needs. Minnesotans will be able to select their new plans for 2019 during the upcoming Open Enrollment period, which begins November 1st and runs through January 13, 2019 (see also GetInsured).
The decision support launch is the first step in a larger transition to a full deployment of the GetInsured individual shopping and enrollment platform in Minnesota. The new platform uses a series of questions to make the process simpler for consumers to find the right plan. Consumers can input data such as how many prescriptions they take, or how many times they visit the doctor to find the best plan based on their needs. Minnesotans can also find their prescription drugs to ensure they are covered by their chosen plan. The GetInsured tool allows consumers to search for both brand name and generic drugs.
