KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. (AP) _ Genesis Healthcare Inc. (GEN) on Wednesday reported a loss of $373.8 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Kennett Square, Pennsylvania-based company said it had a loss of $3.94. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs and to account for discontinued operations, were 36 cents per share.
The operator of nursing homes and senior living communities posted revenue of $1.32 billion in the period.
The company's shares closed at 87 cents. A year ago, they were trading at $2.79.
