GDOL Will Host Recruitments for Chartwell Staffing, Waffle House in Marietta Next Week

ATLANTA, July 28 -- The Georgia Department of Labor issued the following news release:

The Georgia Department of Labor's (GDOL) Cobb-Cherokee Career Center will host recruitments next week for two companies that are trying to hire a total of about 30 workers. The recruitments will be held at the career center located at 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta.

On Tuesday, Aug. 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Chartwell Staffing Solutions will be recruiting 10 mechanical assemblers to work in a manufacturing facility in Cobb County.

Due to U. S Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED), is required.

The company will conduct a criminal background check on selected applicants.

The next day, Wednesday, Aug. 2, the Waffle House will be recruiting six grill cooks and 16 food servers to staff four restaurants in Cobb County. The recruitment will be held from 1-3 p.m.

All applicants for the restaurant positions must be at least 16 years old.

While the hours of the shifts vary, applicants must be able to work 15 hours a week on week-days and week-ends. Employee benefits include paid time off, dental, vision and health insurance.
