Froedtert Health to become sole owner of Network Health

MILWAUKEE — Froedtert Health has signed an agreement with Ascension Wisconsin that will allow it to purchase the latter’s interest in Network Health, making Froedtert Health the sole owner.

Network Health provides customized commercial and Medicare health insurance plans. Each organization currently has a 50% interest in the Wisconsinbased insurer, which offers plans for employers, individuals and families in 23 Wisconsin counties.

Existing Network Health members will not experience any network disruption resulting from the acquisition. Ascension Wisconsin will extend its provider agreement post-closing to remain in-network for Network Health members, according to the announcement.

A closing date will be determined following regulatory review and approval.
