FORTUNE Recognizes MassMutual on 2018 List of World’s Most Admired Companies

Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) today was named a World's Most Admired Company by FORTUNE Magazine and is the top-ranked mutual company in the life and health insurance industry category.

The 2018 FORTUNE World's Most Admired Company survey was conducted in the fall of 2017 among executives, directors and analysts in 52 industries. The annual poll assessed nine reputation drivers considered to be crucial to a company's global success.

The company's placement at No. 2 in the life and health insurance industry category represents a dramatic leap up three positions higher on the list over last year and marks MassMutual's best performance ever in the annual ranking.

Notably, MassMutual also ranked first for innovation and among the top three life and health insurers in the areas of people management, use of corporate assets, quality of management, social responsibility and financial soundness.
