Item 8.01. Other Events.

On December 1, 2021, First United Corporation (the "Corporation") and the
insurer under the Corporation's prior directors and officers liability insurance
policy agreed to settle the Corporation's claims under that policy in respect of
the proxy contests with, and related litigation involving, Driver Opportunity
Partners I LP. Pursuant to the parties' settlement, the insurer will make a
payment to the Corporation in the amount of $1,375,000. The payment will
recorded as non-interest income in the fourth quarter of 2021.
