July 20--PONTOTOC -- First Choice Bank has formed a new company, First Choice Insurance, and in turn, First Choice Insurance has purchased NorthBridge Insurance Co. effective July 13. First Choice Insurance will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Choice Bank.
First Choice Insurance will temporarily operate from the current NorthBridge Insurance Agency at 346 W. Oxford St. in Pontotoc for several weeks while its new home at 29B Main St. is being renovated.
Operating as an independent insurance agency, First Choice Insurance will represent multiple insurance carriers.
The current bank and holding company directors also will serve as directors for First Choice Insurance. They are Buddy R. Montgomery, chairman; Larry Russell, secretary; Michael Simon; Charles Thomas; John A. Ashmore; Robert McDonald, III; Julie Henry, treasurer; and Shane Clayton.
The First Choice Insurance management team includes Buddy R. Montgomery, president; Larry Russell, secretary; Shane Clayton, executive vice president; and Julie Henry, chief financial officer.
First Choice Bank has served the people of Pontotoc County since 1900. It has some $274 million in assets, operating three locations in Pontotoc County.
