Jan. 06--TROY TOWNSHIP -- Fire swept through an unoccupied Troy Township mobile home this morning, destroying it, according to Chief Sam Firster of Chapmanville Volunteer Fire Department.
"It was fully involved when we got there," Firster said of the fire at 34996 Crowther Road.
Firemen from Chapmanville were sent to the scene, about three miles west of Chapmanville, just after 11 a.m., Firster said
Firster said the home's owner, Steve Wolfram, didn't live in the home and it was mainly used as storage.
No utilities were in service at the mobile home and there was no insurance it, Firster said.
"It's undetermined, but it's not considered suspicious," Firster said of the fire's cause.
Initially it was thought that there may have been a dog in the home, but there was no evidence of any pets after the blaze was doused, he said.
Townville, Randolph Township, Hydetown and Cooperstown volunteer fire departments were called to assist Chapmanville.
Firster said there were no injuries to firemen.
The last fire units returned to quarters around 2 p.m.
