Female Military Veteran/Former Cop Grows Nation’s Only Franchise Offering Meth Lab Cleanup

PR Newswire

TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- During her time as a woman in blue with the Kansas City, MO Police Department, Laura Spaulding was called to the scene of a double homicide in a family's home. The homeowners naturally thought law enforcement would clean up the mess. Shocked and disappointed to learn it was their responsibility as the property owner, Spaulding, an action-oriented Army veteran, personally worked with the family to finish the cleanup. The experience led her to found Spaulding Decon, now a leading environmental cleanup franchise.

In addition to crime scene and hoarding cleanup, mold remediation and biohazard decontamination, Spaulding Decon is the country's only franchise opportunity offering meth lab cleanup and multiple revenue streams through real estate and construction arms of the business model. With Spaulding's background in real estate, franchisees learn how to purchase a property if a client can't afford the cleaning service, or was already looking to move. From there, franchisees can "flip" the property themselves, or sell to another investor. Franchisees also learn how to build a construction arm of the business.

After enhancing and reintroducing its franchise opportunity earlier this year, Spaulding Decon has set its sights on major national expansion, selling six new territories in 2017 alone. Today, Spaulding Decon operates in Florida, Georgia, Missouri and California. The  company expects to open 20 units a year for the next five years, targeting Southeast states including Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Kentucky.

"In the last decade, we've grown the original Spaulding Decon to support 400 to 600 jobs a year. Operators run a fulfilling and successful business that helps families and communities cope immediately following a crime. Now, we're opening opportunities for entrepreneurs across the country," said Spaulding, noting the company is seeking dedicated franchisees with backgrounds in the military, law enforcement, firefighting, nursing and emergency medical care.

The re-introduced franchise opportunity offers an automated CRM program, operations and training, bookkeeping systems and more. Franchisees also have access to a 24/7 call center, intensive training, proprietary products, marketing experts and a large client database.

"Spaulding Decon is the perfect opportunity for those who want to work in an industry that is recession proof, constantly changing and has little to no local competition," she said. "We make a difference in the communities we operate. We've got a solid business model offering multiple revenue streams, but we also make a positive impact."

About Spaulding DeconSpaulding Decon is the only nationwide franchise to provide comprehensive service for crime-scene cleanup, biohazard decontamination, meth-lab cleanup and hoarder or "pack rat" cleanup. The company is fully licensed and certified for commercial, residential and industrial cleaning services and offers exceptional service guarantees. The staff is trained in the proper cleaning and disposal of hazardous material, and exemplifies the utmost sensitivity and privacy when dealing with victims of traumatic events. Spaulding Decon began franchising in 2017 and is projected to grow by 100 franchises by 2022.
