Farmers Insurance Reports 1,800 Claims Resulting From Northern California Fires

PR Newswire

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Two separate fires burned nearly 150,000 acres this month in Napa, Sonoma, Amador and Calaveras counties. Farmers InsuranceSM catastrophe claims representatives, agents and other personnel have been onsite since the day after the fire to help customers affected.

Farmers dispatched a Mobile Claims Center (MCC) and two Catastrophe Claims Vehicles (CCV) along with more than 80 claims handlers to assist customers. The MCC and CCV's serve as a location for customers to file claims, ask questions and meet with their claims adjuster.

"Farmers Insurance claims staff make our customers their top priority and take pride in their ability to quickly help them work through the claims handling process," stated Keith Daly chief claims officer for Farmers Insurance. "Our staff is working hard to put customers on the road to recovery as fast as possible."

Farmers reports more than 1,300 claims filed and an anticipated 1,800 total, with an estimated overall loss of approximately $225 million.

Catastrophe claims teams will remain in the area to assist customers with their claims so they may move forward, following the devastating damage brought to the area.

Daly advises that Farmers customers in the area who have damage from the fires can call their agent or the 24-hour claims center for assistance.

  • Farmers Claims Contact Center number: 1-800-435-7764.
  • Foremost and 21st Century customers can also use the 1-800-435-7764 number for immediate assistance.
  • Bristol West customers can call 1-800-274-7865 for immediate assistance.
  • Spanish-language claims assistance is available to Farmers customers by calling: 877-RECLAMO (877-732-5266).
