Farmers Insurance® Celebrates Grand Opening of New Phoenix Office

PR Newswire

PHOENIX, May 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmers Insurance®, one of the nation's largest multiline insurer groups, today announced the highly-anticipated grand opening of its new North Phoenix regional office located at the corner of Pinnacle Peak Road and Interstate 17. The 150,000 square-foot facility will house upwards of 1,000 employees as the insurer group seeks to hire 400 new staff in Phoenix this year. Those interested in a career with Farmers® can learn more by visiting www.farmers.com/careers.

All-new Farmers Insurance facility opens in North Phoenix

The grand opening represents a significant milestone in the insurer group's effort to expand its overall presence in the Phoenix metro area. Farmers first announced plans to construct and staff the new office in spring of 2016, and has since hired hundreds of new customer service representatives and in-office auto claims adjusters to support growth and further enhance the customer experience for its customers across the country.

"Farmers has a proud history in Arizona of providing comprehensive insurance options and industry-leading service to our customers," said Keith Daly, chief claims officer for Farmers Insurance. "With the opening of this new facility, we look forward to expanding our ability to serve the needs of even more Farmers Insurance customers."

Farmers began operating in Arizona in 1929, and is currently the second largest insurer of homes and automobiles in the state with more than 670,000 policies in force.

"With a large customer base on the west coast, having 1,000 new jobs in the Arizona time zone—many of which are customer service roles—provides additional flexibility to serve our customers when they need us most," said Daly. "We've also benefited from the great support of Governor Doug Ducey, Arizona Corporation Commission member Andy Tobin, Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, and the Phoenix City Council and their staffs, who were instrumental in helping bring this project to fruition."

"Farmers Insurance opening one of their largest regional offices in the country, and tripling their employee base in Phoenix, shows that our region is top of mind for great national companies looking to expand," said Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton. "Our outstanding talent pool, unmatched quality of life and supportive economic development team will help make this expansion a success."

"With today's expansion of the Farmers Insurance Group regional office, they are adding a significant number of new jobs in Phoenix," said Phoenix Councilwoman Thelda Williams, in whose district the Farmers Insurance facility is located. "The new office in the Norterra area shows the quality workforce in Phoenix's financial services sector and we are happy that they chose Phoenix."

In addition to expanding its employee presence in the area, Farmers is also looking to increase the number of agency owners across the state. Those looking to explore agency ownership opportunities can do so by visiting www.beafarmersagent.com.
