Farmers Insurance® Awards $500,000 in Educational Grants to Five Teachers Nationwide

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Dec. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmers Insurance^® brought 2018 to a close by surprising five deserving teachers with $500,000 in educational grants to help transform their schools and communities while better preparing students for the future as part of the Thank America's Teachers^® program.

Representatives of Farmers^® worked with local communities to surprise each teacher with their Dream Big Teacher Challenge^® $100,000 grant during the months of November and December following a public voting period that ended in early November. Voters around the country were asked to determine the most intriguing, forward-looking proposals that would deliver better learning experiences for students. The five proposals that received the most votes were:
