EPIC Marks New York Headquarters Milestone as Specialty Business Continues to Grow

Business Wire

New York presence reflects EPIC’s growth, specialized capabilities and connected national platform

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants (“EPIC”), a national insurance brokerage and risk advisory firm, today commemorates its New York City headquarters at 1140 Avenue of the Americas, marking a milestone in the company’s evolution into a national specialty broker. Established in New York last year, the headquarters reflects EPIC’s continued growth, expanding specialty capabilities and investment in serving clients across industries, services and regions.

Founded in the San Francisco Bay Area, EPIC has grown into a national organization with $1.4 billion in annual revenue and more than 3,000 employees. Through organic growth, strategic acquisitions and investment in specialist talent, the firm has built a broad range of property and casualty, employee benefits, private client and specialty risk solutions. EPIC brings these capabilities together through a connected national platform that combines sophisticated expertise and market access with hands-on service and local relationships.

“Our growth has given us the scale and breadth to address increasingly complex client needs, while preserving the entrepreneurial thinking and personal service that have always distinguished EPIC,” said Steve Denton, CEO of EPIC. “New York is an important center for our leadership, financial services expertise and market relationships. This milestone is ultimately about the company we have become and the value we can deliver to clients across the country.”

New York places EPIC close to major financial and insurance markets, carrier partners and talent, as well as international relationships including London. The office is home to senior leaders including Karen Beldy Torborg, President U.S. Regions, and Adam Okun, President of Employee Benefits.

“New York is the financial capital of the world, home to many of the largest financial, insurance and investment firms,” said Phil Moyles, Co-President of EPIC and Head of Financial Services. “Being at the center of where major transactions are financed and closed creates significant opportunities for EPIC to drive growth by providing critical insurance and risk advisory services to support these transactions.” Moyles also oversees EPIC’s carrier relationships at the executive level and is based in the firm’s New York City headquarters.

The New York headquarters reflects the evolution of EPIC’s leadership footprint. EPIC retains strong ties to its California origins and continues to serve West Coast clients through its San Francisco office at 100 Montgomery Street and its San Ramon presence. The company’s coast-to-coast reach is central to its commitment to providing national resources with local depth.

While EPIC relocated its corporate headquarters to New York City in 2025, the company is commemorating the headquarters milestone with a reception for clients, carrier partners and company leaders this evening to recognize its continued growth, expanded presence in New York, and evolution into a national specialty insurance brokerage and risk advisory firm. The occasion follows further investment in its New York presence and reinforces the firm’s focus on long-term growth and closer collaboration across its businesses.
