Elk River Wealth Expands into Nebraska with Breakaway Advisors David Carroll and Jon Springer

Business Wire

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Elk River Wealth Management, LLC is proud to announce the addition of David Carroll and Jon Springer as Partners at the firm. The accomplished wealth advisors decided to make the break from Mutual of Omaha Bank to lead Elk River Wealth’s expansion into Omaha, NE.

David Carroll is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ and Certified Wealth Strategist® with 26 years of experience helping clients across their complete financial life. He most recently served as Wealth Management Advisor at Mutual of Omaha Bank, and before that at First National Capital Markets and Norwest Investment Services (now Wells Fargo). Jon Springer is an experienced wealth advisor with a 27-year track record helping individuals, families, and business owners build, preserve, and manage their wealth. Prior to Elk River, Jon served as Wealth Management Advisor at Mutual of Omaha Bank, and before that at U.S. Bank, First National Bank and Piper Jaffray.

“David and Jon are exceptional advisors with decades of proven experience helping clients successfully manage their wealth across all market cycles,” said Chris Freimuth, CEO and Chief Investment Officer at Elk River Wealth Management. “We are excited to welcome them as Partners and look forward to working together to bring the complete value of Elk River Wealth to clients in Omaha and across the region.”

Prior to joining Elk River Wealth, David Carroll and Jon Springer collectively managed $230 million in assets under management and focused on helping clients achieve their goals through financial planning, investment management, insurance solutions, corporate stock options, business succession planning, retirement and estate planning, and trust services.

“In today’s complex marketplace, our clients expect a steward who can manage their evolving needs, protect their wealth and deliver complete solutions across their financial life,” said David Carroll. “Elk River Wealth has all of the pieces in place to do exactly that, including a full spectrum of comprehensive services, advanced technologies, leading custodial and compliance partners, and world-class network of specialists that are aligned to benefit our clients.”

“Elk River Wealth is the perfect fit for our team and clients,” added Jon Springer. “The firm’s mission, business model and culture are all aligned to make it easier for advisors to offload time-consuming operational, administrative and back-office tasks to focus our full time, attention and energy doing what we do best – working with clients to achieve their goals.”

The deal marks the third advisory team to join the firm since its launch in March – reinforcing Elk River’s regional growth focus and attractiveness to advisors looking to deliver complete financial solutions to clients. The two earlier deals include the merger of Brooks Merrifield’s RIA, Merrifield & Company, under the Elk River brand to coincide with the launch, and tuck-in of breakaway advisor Dan Owens who made the move in April to lead Elk River’s Arizona office. Wealth Advisor Growth Network (WAGN), a growth consultancy and partner of Elk River, advised on each of the deals to ensure a strategic approach and advance Elk River’s brand and culture by aligning advisors with similar visions, values and client-first approaches.

“As the wealth industry continues to transform, this deal highlights the increasing importance and appeal of a complete business model and value proposition to client-focused and growth-driven advisors,” said John Phoenix, Founder & Partner at WAGN. “We look forward to continuing to help Elk River find similar strategic growth opportunities in target regions.”

David Carroll and Jon Springer will run Elk River Wealth’s Omaha, NE office and be key members of the leadership team at the firm’s headquarters in Denver, CO.
