Find your best health plan: 2027 rates and open enrollment options
The following information was released by the Nevada Department of Business and Industry:
With Open Enrollment for health insurance beginning November 1, the Nevada Division of Insurance is announcing the release of approved health insurance rates and plans for Plan Year 2027. Consumers can now review their options at Nevada Heath Insurance Rate Review and begin preparing to select the best coverage for themselves and their families.
For 2027, Nevada consumers will have a variety of plans to choose from across the individual market. A total of 12 insurance companies will offer 165 plans on and off the Exchange. The Division has completed its annual rate review, ensuring that all approved rates comply with state and federal requirements.
I remain very sensitive to the fact that once again rates are increasing. During this time of increased inflation, every dollar counts, said Commissioner Ned Gaines. I urge all Nevadans who purchase their health insurance on the Exchange to fully analyze each product offering to find the best option for you and to take advantage of all subsidies available. The cost of coverage can be high but the cost of not having coverage is potentially higher should you encounter an unexpected illness or injury.
Shopping On-Exchange (NevadaHealthLink.com):
Nevadans seeking coverage through Nevada's state-based marketplace, NevadaHealthLink.com, can access federal financial assistanceavailable only through the Exchange. A large majority of Nevada Health Link enrollees qualify for financial assistance each year, often significantly reducing their monthly premiums.
During October, consumers may use NevadaHealthLink.com to compare plan options, estimate costs, and determine eligibility for subsidies ahead of Open Enrollment.
With an average rate increase of 17.0%, consumers can choose from 9 on-exchange carriers.
Shopping Off-Exchange:
Consumers exploring Off-Exchange plans can review approved rates and plan details at Nevada Heath Insurance Rate Review. The Division provides tools allowing Nevadans to sort plans by age, county, metal tier, and coverage features, helping users narrow down options quickly and confidently.
With an average rate change of 10.9%, Nevadans can choose from 3 exclusively off-exchange carriers and 46 off-exchange plans.
Open Enrollment Timeline:
Open Enrollment for Plan Year 2027 begins November 1, 2026, and runs through January 15, 2027. The Division encourages consumers to use this period to compare plans thoroughly and consult with licensed agents, brokers, or certified enrollment professionals for personalized assistance.
