Jan. 28--After six years of service, Woodward County Commissioner Tommy Roedell has submitted a formal letter of resignation/retirement to be reviewed by the Board of Woodward County Commissioners Monday.
Roedell worked for the Corporation Commission as an oil and gas field inspector for 19 years before taking on the role of county commissioner in January 2011.
Roedell has approximately two years left on his term.
He represents District No. 1, primarily the eastern part of the county.
During Monday's meeting Roedell plans to address the board regarding his reasons for resigning.
Commissioners will also consider/take action on:
--District #1's purchase of a 2016 Peterbilt truck on state contract
--A presentation by Joshua Coffey with Liberty National Life Insurance Company
--Blanket purchase orders
--An application for a permit for public service/pipeline crossing from Crescent Services for a temporary waterline in District #2 sections 9 T20N-R18W.
--Four applications for permits for public service/pipeline crossings from Targa Pipeline for a natural gas pipeline in District #2 sections 24&25-T20N-R18W and sections 30,31&32-T20N-R17W
--The results of the filings for Fair Board positions
--Three applications for permits for public service/pipeline crossings from Bill Irvin Land Services for a natural gas pipeline to bore District #2 roadways in section 20-T20N-R17W and section 24-T20N-R18W
--Approve of the monthly payroll
--Approve purchase orders
