A new study of the property/casualty insurance industry, Inventing Social Inflation, 2023, finds that commercial insurers are misrepresenting their actual losses, sometimes by large percentages, in order to justify its price-gouging of businesses that purchase coverage and to push for restrictions on the legal rights of everyday Americans.
