Church, Anthem Medicaid hosting Back to School Community Resource Fair

Reidland Baptist Church is partnering with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Medicaid of Kentucky to host a Back to School Community Resource Fair on Saturday.

The fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on July 27.

In a news release about the event, Anthem said the health insurance company and Reidland Baptist Church are partnering to bring community health resources directly to families, because they want to help parents make sure students are healthy and prepared to return to the classroom for the new school year.

During the event, families will have direct access to community organizations that provide financial and legal aid support, Anthem said. Additionally, Blended Barber — a barber shop located on Park Road in Paducah — will be on site to provide free haircuts.

Anthem said it will also provide free lunch to all attendees.
