Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center's surgical and cancer teams have welcomed Dr. Robert S. Davidson as their newest addition.
He attended medical school at Finch University of Health Sciences Medical School in North Chicago, IL, and completed his internship and residency at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA.Dr. Davidson's dedication to advancing his skills led him to pursue two fellowships-one at the National Cancer Institute in Houston, TX, and another at Roswell Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY.
Board-certified through the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Davidson's clinical interests encompass surgical treatment of cancers, including skin cancers such as melanoma, breast and colon cancer, and other cancer surgeries. Notably, he is also trained in robotic surgery, utilizing cutting-edge technology to provide the best care possible to his patients.
Dr. Davidson notes, "I believe optimal patient outcomes are achieved through multidisciplinary teamwork, where every healthcare team member plays a vital role. By working alongside members of the cancer team, I can be sure that every aspect of a patient's care is meticulously coordinated and tailored to their unique needs. Above all, I am guided by a profound sense of duty and dedication to my patients. I consider it a privilege and honor to be entrusted with their care during one of the most challenging times in their lives, and I approach each day with a deep sense of purpose and gratitude."
Beginning March 11, Dr. Davidson will be available to see patients at 3 Lyon Place, Suite 100, Ogdensburg. To schedule an appointment, call at (315) 713-5300. No referral is necessary unless your health insurance provider requires it, making accessing the care you need easier.
