Charles Schwab Ranks Highest in Full-Service Investor Satisfaction in 2016 J.D. Power Study

Investment Weekly News

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Investment Weekly News -- Charles Schwab has received the highest ranking in overall satisfaction in the J.D. Power 2016 Full-Service Investor Satisfaction Study. Schwab is also currently ranked highest in the J.D. Power U.S. Self-Directed Investor Satisfaction Study, reflecting the firm's breadth of capabilities across the range of investor preferences.

"Whether investors are looking for full-service wealth management and investing, a self-directed model, or something in-between, Schwab can meet their needs," said Terri Kallsen, executive vice president and head of Schwab Investor Services.

With an index score of 837 on a 1,000-point scale in the 2016 Full-Service Study, Schwab scored 33 points above the overall satisfaction industry average and received the highest scores in the areas of Product Offerings, Commission and Fees, Website, and Account Information.

"We're committed to providing clients with a modern approach to wealth management and a customized financial planning experience, so we're continually looking for ways to challenge the status quo to provide more value, better service, and a range of solutions and capabilities to serve our clients' needs," said Kallsen. "Today, investors are more focused than ever before on working with a financial services firm that they can trust to see the world through clients' eyes. We measure our success based on the satisfaction of our clients and our ability to help them take ownership of their financial futures. Receiving the highest ranking in this year's J.D. Power Full-Service Investor Study is a demonstration of that philosophy."

Since its founding more than 40 years ago, Schwab has expanded its suite of products and services aimed at full-service investors, particularly in the area of wealth management. At the end of 2015, approximately 560,000 client accounts were enrolled in one of Schwab's retail advisory solutions, representing more than $192 billion in assets. The firm held approximately 112,000 planning conversations with clients in 2015.
