Managed Care Weekly Digest
By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Managed Care Weekly Digest -- CareSource, a nonprofit health plan, will again offer Marketplace Health Insurance coverage in four states for the 2018 benefit year. This Open Enrollment period, Nov. 1 - Dec. 15, 2017, is significantly shorter than previous years. Accordingly, CareSource urges consumers to act quickly to understand their coverage options and enroll in the health plan that meets their needs (see also CareSource).
While uncertainty and confusion has surrounded the future of the Marketplace, CareSource continues its commitment to offering consumers access to quality, affordable health care coverage. The company has received approval to offer coverage in specified counties in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and West Virginia.
During last year's open enrollment cycle, CareSource enrolled nearly 160,000 people in four states. For 2018, the company is projecting a robust enrollment period as a result of its plan benefits, quality networks and competitive pricing.
