Canal Insurance Company Re-Elects And Adds Two To Its Board Of Directors

GREENVILLE, S.C., March 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Shareholders of Canal Insurance Company at the Company's Annual Meeting today re-elected Mr. Lansing Crane, Mr. Victor Lund, Mr. David Pauly, Mr. William R. Timmons, III, Ms. Ann Pelham Cullen, and Mr. John Pollock to its Board of Directors.  In addition, the Shareholders elected two new Directors to the Board, Mr. Charles M. Timmons, Jr. and Mr. William H. Pelham, both Shareholders of the Company with deep ties to the Greenville community.

Charles ("Chuck") M. Timmons, Jr. served Canal Insurance Company, Canal Indemnity Company, and the Wm. R. Timmons Agency, LLC in various leadership positions, beginning in 1972, and most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of those entities before retiring in 2009.  He currently serves on the University of South Carolina's Insurance School Advisory Board.

William ("Bill") H. Pelham is the Founder and President of Pelham Architects, LLC, as well as a Managing Partner of RPM Partnership, LLC.  He also currently serves as Board Chair and Building Committee Chair for Camperdown Academy, as Vice President and Art Committee Chair of Artisphere, and as Vice President of the Poinsett Club Foundation.
