Burton and Company Deploys TechCanary Agency Management System

Business Wire

TC-AMS enables independent agency to meet its modernization, growth, and customer experience objectives

MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- TechCanary, a provider of a cloud-based, analytics-driven insurance solution, today announced Burton and Company, a 127-year old Virginia-based independent insurance agency, has selected and deployed the TechCanary Agency Management System (TC-AMS). After a five-month implementation, the agency is in production, with additional custom work with TechCanary currently under development.

Implementation of TC-AMS replaces the agency’s 20-year old legacy agency system to better enable the organization’s modernization and support its aggressive growth goals. While the legacy system had served them well, Burton and Company knew the older and inflexible technology was limiting the agency’s ability to respond to today’s business needs, heightened customer expectations and the goal to expand into new niche markets.

After evaluating available solutions Burton and Company selected TC-AMS in large part due to the system’s flexibility, scalability, and configurability. The agency also especially liked TC-AMS’s ability to track the lifecycle for the client which would enable Burton and Company to be more predictive and proactive with its customers.

“We pride ourselves on making insurance simple for our customers, and as customers’ needs and expectations have changed and as our business changed, we knew it was time to invest in a modern system able to better support the business, our client family, and our growth,” noted Robby Burton, president of Burton and Company. “TechCanary’s agency management system, combined with the skill and dedication of the TechCanary team, made for a great solution to enable a flexible and scalable agency management system that could easily accommodate our specific and unique business and client needs – now and into the foreseeable future as we continue to grow the business and expand into new markets.”

Additional key TC-AMS capabilities cited by Burton and Company include:

  • A mobile-friendly customer and producer interface, enabling anywhere, anytime system access.
  • Ability to leverage analytics to make more informed, data-driven decisions and better service customers.
  • Online quoting with reduced customer input, translating to a higher quality customer experience.

Commenting on the Burton and Company relationship, Reid Holzworth, TechCanary co-founder and CEO, said, “Like Burton and Company, so many agencies are recognizing the limitations of the legacy management systems that have been in production – often for decades. Times have changed, business has changed, and customer and producer expectations have changed, prompting more and more agencies to turn to us to help transform their businesses and bring new levels of automation, mobile capabilities, analytics, and flexibility to their operations.”

The TechCanary Agency Management System (TC-AMS) is a cloud-based, analytics driven solution, well-suited for agencies, brokerages, MGAs, GAs, wholesalers and carriers. Built inside the world's #1 CRM platform Salesforce, the TechCanary solution offers a complete ACORD and CSIO data structure, support for all lines of business in P&C, life, health and benefits, integration with both email and phone, and all browsers and mobile devices. The platform enables efficient management of the entire insurance sales and service process from lead to sale to ongoing customer support, including renewal. Robust out of the box real-time analytics is included along with fully user-configurable automation and workflows. TechCanary clients can choose from over 4,000 add-on pre-integrated Apps, enabling easy expansion of capabilities and quick-to-value deployment.
