Feb. 08--A Yakima woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 82 a mile west of Granger, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Ashleyanna F. Meade, 18, was taken to Toppenish Community Hospital. An update on her condition was not immediately available Wednesday afternoon.
The other driver -- Christine Rios, 26, of Moxee -- was not injured, according to a patrol news release.
The crash was reported about 10:35 a.m. on the eastbound interstate.
Meade was driving a Buick Riviera when she lost control and struck the Chevrolet Malibu driven by Rios, the news release said.
Troopers said Meade was driving too fast for road conditions.
She was expected to receive a ticket for excessive speed for conditions, not wearing a seat belt and not having insurance.
Rios was wearing a seat belt. Intoxicants were not suspected of contributing to the crash, the news release said.
