BRIEF: Westminster man charged with taking vehicle following collision

July 22--A Westminster man was charged with taking another person's vehicle after being involved in a collision Saturday.

According to charging documents, police responded to a call of a missing vehicle around 12:28 p.m. Saturday to the 500 block of Baltimore Boulevard, Westminster. According to police, at 9 a.m., the owner was notified by an insurance company that the vehicle had been involved in an accident, driven by Joseph Oscar Harris III, of the 4200 block of Old Hanover Road. Police said the owner of the vehicle had not given Harris permission to use the car.

Harris has been charged with unauthorized removal of property, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and theft of more than $10,000 and under $100,000.
