BRIEF: Vancouver Fire Marshal investigating truck fire involving “Trump” spray paint

Oct. 09--Vancouver city officials responded to a vehicle fire overnight Monday that prompted an investigation by the fire marshal.

The Vancouver Fire Department was dispatched at about 2:30 a.m. to 1101 W. Fourth Plain Blvd., the Garage Bar & Grille. Vancouver police officers were asked to respond to the bar shortly thereafter "to assist with a suspicious vehicle fire," police department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said in an email.

According to Kapp, a 2015 Nissan Titan was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

The truck "had 'Trump' spray painted on the left side and coincidentally, had pro-Trump stickers on the bumper," Kapp said.

The Vancouver Fire Marshal was called to investigate. The fire marshal did not immediately return a call for more information.
