April 01--U.S. Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell sent a letter to President Donald Trump this week urging him and his administration to abandon efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act or undermine the national health care system.
They, along with 44 other Democratic Senators, said they welcomed working in a bipartisan fashion to improve the law and lower the costs of health care.
The letter also requested that the administration rescind an executive order signed on Jan. 20 that they said undermined the Affordable Care Act.
"Members of the Democratic caucus remain ready and willing to work with you on policies that would improve the stability of the individual insurance market," the letter read.
