BRIEF: Rep. Rick Larsen to talk Affordable Care Act in Sedro-Woolley
Skagit Valley Herald (Mount Vernon, WA)
March 03--U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen will address questions on the future of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sedro-Woolley City Hall.
The ACA, often referred to as Obamacare, is under fire from President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans, who have made it a stated goal to repeal and replace the legislation.
This is Larsen's second Skagit County stop on his ACA tour. He spoke to a crowd of about 200 in Anacortes on Feb. 11.
In four previous stops to talk about the ACA, Larsen has heard directly from about 500 constituents in Mountlake Terrace, Bellingham, Marysville and Anacortes.
According to a news release from Larsen's office, 537,000 people in Washington have health insurance because of the ACA.
