BRIEF: Rep. Bobby Scott to host Suffolk town hall on GOP health care bills

July 08--SUFFOLK -- Rep. Bobby Scott is hosting a town hall meeting Monday night to discuss Republican proposals to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.
The 90-minute hearing begins at 6:30 p.m. at King's Fork Middle School, 350 Kings Fork Road. The session is open to the public. Anyone seeking more information can contact his Suffolk office at 757-380-1000.
Scott, a Newport News Democrat, has opposed the GOP House of Representatives and Senate bills. Opponents have criticized the measures for cutting hundreds of millions from Medicaid while lowering taxes on wealthier Americans.
