BRIEF: ProMedica picks new chief financial officer
Blade (Toledo, OH)
July 27--ProMedica has tapped Michael Browning to take over the role of chief financial officer, replacing Alan Sattler. Mr. Sattler became the vice president of business development for ProMedica's health insurance company Paramount earlier this year.
Mr. Browning, who will start work Aug. 8, is moving to Toledo from Raleigh, N.C., where he was CFO of a private, nonprofit health-care system, WakeMed Health and Hospitals.
As CFO of ProMedica he will report directly to Randy Oostra, president and CEO and he will oversee the health system's financial operations, including accounting, financial planning, revenue cycle, managed care, reimbursement, treasury and internal audit as well as supply chain management, risk management.
He has more than 25 years of experience in health-care finance and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Louisville.
