BRIEF: Parkers Prairie home total loss in fire

Feb. 18--A house fire Wednesday evening resulted in a total loss of the residence, according to an Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office report.

The home of Daniel Shaw, 56, at 17764 605th Ave. in Parkers Prairie was fully engulfed in flame when Bertha and Parkers Prairie Fire Department arrived on scene around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Everybody in the home escaped uninjured from the fire. The fire reportedly rekindled later that evening and Bertha responders were able to extinguish it.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office with assistance from the Minnesota Fire Marshal.

Exact value of the home loss is unknown, but the homeowner did not have insurance, according to the report.
