BRIEF: Ohio Supreme Court revokes Macedonia lawyer’s license

June 21--COLUMBUS -- The Ohio Supreme Court on Wednesday revoked the license of a Macedonia lawyer who concealed information from state bar exam admission officials.

Michael A. Callam made false statements about being investigated for insurance fraud and later pleaded guilty to complicity to sell insurance without a license, the court concluded.

The court voted 5-2 to revoke his license for two years.

"Callam's failure to provide complete and accurate information in his applications to this [c]ourt casts significant doubt on his honesty, his good judgment, and his ability to conduct himself in a manner that engenders respect for the law and the profession," the court stated.
