BRIEF: N.C. insurance officials charge Archdale woman with embezzlement

July 20--ARCHDALE -- A 55-year-old Archdale woman faces a charge of embezzlement, according to a N.C. Department of Insurance news release.
Officials on Tuesday arrested Sandra Rozier Freeman, of 7128 Mendenhall Road, the release states.
She is accused, while working as an agent for Doug Smith Agency, of taking $1,450 in insurance premiums and converting them to her own use, according to the release.
She was placed in the Randolph County jail under $1,000 bail.
