BRIEF: Ingram man pleads guilty to fraud and tax charges

Oct. 02--An Ingram man pleaded guilty to fraud and other tax charges.

U.S. Attorney Scott W. Brady said Robert Alan Seth Sr. pleaded guilty to charges of filing a false income tax return and theft of government property.

According to prosecutors, Seth, in April 2014, filed a false income tax return for the tax year 2013. He also, from January 2009 to July 2017, collected Social Security Disability Insurance benefits for himself and his minor child in an amount totaling $248,145.90.

Seth's sentencing has been set for Feb. 6. He faces a maximum sentence of 13 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
