BRIEF: Fugitive from justice captured in Myrtle Beach home

June 29--A fugitive facing an insurance fraud charge out of Ohio was captured at an Ocean Boulevard apartment Tuesday afternoon.
Myrtle Beach police say they responded to an apartment at 5515 N. Ocean Blvd. around 2 p.m. in reference to a wanted person. Officers located 53-year-old Edward Charles Vaughan inside the home and confirmed that he was wanted by the Portage County Sheriff's Office in Ohio for insurance fraud, according to an incident report.
Vaughan was taken into custody and transported to the Myrtle Beach Jail where he will be extradited to Ohio.
The insurance fraud charge carries a sentence of at least one year in jail, according to the report.
