BRIEF: Fresno insurance agent loses license over prior sexual misconduct
Fresno Bee, The (CA)
June 27--The Fifth District Court of Appeal on June 1 upheld the decision to revoke the broker-agent license of a Fresno man who had previously been convicted of filming a female coworker in the bathroom and taking topless photos of a friend while she slept.
Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones revoked the license of Wellman Dale Shew, 55, once he learned of the prior convictions. Shew recorded the coworker in California and took pictures of the sleeping woman in Nevada. He was convicted of misdemeanor charges in both cases.
In January 2014, a Fresno Superior Court judge upheld the original order. Shew appealed, but the court denied it. He is no longer a licensed insurance broker-agent.
