BRIEF: Former Sidley Austin partner sells Lincoln Park condo for $4.5 million
Chicago Tribune (IL)
Aug. 31--A former partner at the law firm Sidley Austin sold her four-bedroom, 5,000-square-foot condominium unit in the Lincoln Park area Tuesday for $4.533 million.
Susan A. Stone was a partner at Sidley Austin for 21 years until joining insurance brokerage and risk management giant Marsh & McLennan in New York in February as its general counsel.
Stone paid $4.249 million in 2014 to buy the 22nd-floor condo in the Park West neighborhood of the Lincoln Park community area from the building's developer. She first listed it in January for $5.25 million and cut her asking price in May to $4.995 million.
The unit has 4 1/2 baths, a library, views of Lake Michigan, a large mudroom, a formal entryway and three private terraces.
"It (is) a really special property that (lived) like a single-family home," listing agent Emily Sachs Wong of @properties said.
Public records do not yet identify the buyer.
Records show that Stone recently purchased a four-bedroom, 3,000-square-foot co-op unit on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
