Sept. 20--The Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield location in Fort Smith will reopen Monday following a renovation.
ArkansasBlue, a location for customers to shop for health, vision and dental insurance, is located at 3501 Old Greenwood Road., Suite 3.
As part of the change, business hours at the location will change to 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
"We hope our neighbors in the Fort Smith area will come visit us at ArkansasBlue, especially during open enrollment, Nov. 1 through Dec. 15," said Danny Beck, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield regional executive, in a news release. "We are here to answer any questions you may have about health insurance and to help you find coverage that is right for you and your family."
Founded in 1948, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, is the largest health insurer in Arkansas.
Arkansas Blue Cross and its affiliates have more than 2,500 employees. The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association is comprised of 37 independent, locally operated Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans that collectively provide health care coverage for 100 million -- nearly one in three -- Americans.
